She is currently producing for KTAR/Arizona Sports
After graduating from Penn, I returned home to Phoenix to join KTAR News / Arizona Sports as a Video Intern. I was drawn to the opportunity not only because of my lifelong love for storytelling, but also because of KTAR’s reputation for trusted local journalism and dynamic sports coverage.
A few months in, I was promoted to Multimedia Producer, expanding my role beyond video editing into carousel design, thumbnails, graphics, and broader editorial strategy. I now work closely with show producers and hosts to pitch ideas and shape content that resonates across platforms.
Since joining the team, I’ve helped drive a major boost in engagement — from 4 million social impressions in Q1 to 7.5 million in July alone. I introduced captioning across all short-form videos (which tripled our average watch time), launched a digital food trend series called Chew on This, and initiated the use of Instagram and YouTube carousels to tell more immersive stories.
This role continues to deepen my passion for making smart, community-focused journalism accessible in creative, scroll-stopping ways. I love collaborating across teams to create content that’s timely, thoughtful, and truly made for the mediums people use most.
Previously, she was producing for POV - Penn On Video
The summer before my junior year at Penn, following an internship at Pew Research Center, my friend and I realized something: despite Penn’s wealth of student publications, it lacked a digital-first student news show. At Pew, I studied media consumption trends and saw Americans shifting towards digital platforms to receive their news. It struck me that Penn hadn't adapted to this shift, which presented an opportunity to combine my passion for storytelling with my drive to create content that sparks conversation and thought.
POV, Penn on Video, started as a department under the Daily Pennsylvanian but has since grown into Penn’s first independent student news show. We cover global and local events from a Penn perspective, with short-form content on Instagram and long-form videos on YouTube. So far, we’ve interviewed professionals, faculty, and students, with a special focus on the 2024 Presidential Race. POV has earned faculty support from David Eisenhower and equipment rentals from Annenberg’s Paul Messaris Media Lab. Our work has been reposted by the official Instagrams of Annenberg and College Democrats of America. Additionally, we've done collaborative posts with Penn Leads the Vote, Dave McCormick, and Penn Dems.
Moving forward, I will continue writing, coordinating, producing, filming, and editing videos for POV, managing its social media presence, and ensuring it remains a source of meaningful, engaging content for years to come.
